High Performance Driving Experience
The ONLY virtual, adaptive driver training system for people with a spinal cord injury or lower limb amputation
Adaptive Motorsports & Wellness (AMW) pairs its virtual experience (VXP) driving simulator with software from iRacing.com, a company that offers a worldwide online racing community. The goal is to get people who have lost the use of their legs on the road back to driving freedom -- first in the virtual world, then in adapted cars, and for those who want to take it all the way, to the track!
AMW is the world's first 'Arrive and Drive' experience for disabled veterans and civilians. Through ground breaking technology, AMW has removed the barrier for anyone wanting the unique experience of climbing behind the wheel of a stock care.
AMW has brought together the skills and experience of multiple individuals from a wide variety of disciplines -- racing, driving instruction, software development, physical rehabilitation -- as well as disabled individuals. The program they have created teaches necessary driving skills, provides engaging online practice in a safe environment, and offers an opportunity to use these skills in a confidence-building, exhilarating on-track experience.
